Importance of Scallops, Mussels and Clams

The Scallops are usually bivalve seafood. The Scallops belong to the family of Pectinidae. It is found in all the oceans of the world. The mussels and clams can be cooked in many methods that include the sautéing, soups, poaching, stews and many other recipes. The mussels and clams should be prepared within the few days after catching them. The mussels and clams of the broken shells should be thrown out and avoided to use.
